Prepared Environment:
A Montessori school will have a beautifully prepared inside environment. The inside environment / classroom is equipped with attractive, developmentally appropriate High quality Montessori materials. The furniture , kitchenet , toilets are all child size to foster children’s independence.
In addition, Montessori schools have outside areas for play. Usually, outside area will have play equipment, garden and also enough area for free play . So, children can play , do gardening and be with nature. This is essential for children’s development.
Trained Adult :
In order for Montessori to function you need a trained adult. A teacher trained from AMI( Association Montessori Internationale ) goes through rigorous training, hours of observation , completion of albums. They take theory and Practical exams. One has to pass these exams to receive the AMI diploma. AMI diploma is internationally recognised and regarded very highly in Montessori Schools around the world.
